The fall lineup has started and there are so many shows to watch it can be a little tough to keep up with their showtimes. Sure, there are apps to do this for you, or you could write them down on a wall calender, set your DVR or just straight out try and remember them all. But why download an app if you're only going to use it for something your built in calender app can do? What about those of us who use our Google calenders for everything and want our shows imported to it? I use mine for work, birthdays,appointments, special events and now my personal TV guide. I wanted a really easy way to get my favorite shows and their showtimes into my calender but also on my iPhone so I can check it no matter where Im at. You could just manually put them all in but that would take a while. You could tell it that on certain days at certain times a show comes on but then what about when a special program comes on like an award show or sporting event? Screws your shit up huh? So I did alittle digging around and put together a simple 10 step process on how to get your favorite shows imported into your Google calender in bulk and sync it all with your iPhone calender.

1.) On your iPhone go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calenders and make sure that your Gmail account has been set up and set to sync with your Google Calender.

2.) Now on your iPhone go to your Calender app and click the Calender button in the top left corner and be sure your Google calender has a check next to it.

3.) Open your web browser and Go to http://www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/ and sign up for a new account. Fill in the information and select your time zone so your listings will be correct. Dont worry, its free :)

4.) Click the filter link at the top of the page and click the shows you want to keep up with and have imported into your calender.

5.) Go back to the sites home page and click the "Download iCal" link at the top to download your calender file and save it somewhere on your computer. Remember where you save this because we will be using this in a second.

6.) Log into your Google account and navigate to your calender

7.) Select Calender Settings in the top right hand corner.

8.) Upload your iCal file to your Google calender.

9.) Now check both your Google calender and your iPhone calender. Both should be updated with your shows and their showtimes. If they dont show up right away on your iPhone give it a few moments as it has to sync and reload it.

10.) Now check when your going to need to update your calender again. Not all shows have air times out all at once so you might have to go back to the site in a couple of months to re-download your iCal file and upload it to your Google Calender again for complete seasons listings.
