Vegetarian Challenge Is Over! – Jan.
January was the beginning of the new year but also the beginning of a new series of posts I wanted to do called challenges. Last year I would occasionally challenge myself just to push myself and see if I could do it but never documented any of them.
So for the first challenge this year I decided to do something that I never thought I would be able to do and that was giving up meat for a whole month. It was supposed to start on January 1st but I was dared to start a little earlier….almost a whole month earlier! Needless to say, Clay never backs down from a dare/challenge so I started a little earlier than planned. I kept getting questions from family and friends about why I was doing this and how this is at all benficial to me since I have been trying to hit the gym a lot harder lately. Basically all I could do is tell them that it was a healthier lifestyle choice and then send them the following links:

I thought I would weigh myself to see how much, if any of a difference there would be at the end of the challenge. At the beginning I would weigh in around 196lbs-198lbs and as of this morning I’m at 188lbs but since I have been hitting the gym I have not noticed any change in size other than my gut which is awesome! All though I had cut out meat for almost 2 months I was still able to up my strength and size while still losing some fat. It was great to challenge myself and loved the end results but there is no way I could give up chicken forever….in fact, Im craving some buffalo chicken which I think I will go get some after I wrap this up.
Every month I will be challenging myself in a new way and wrap it up at the end of the month with a little write up like this one. Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter and on Facebook.
